at 1900 hours. No guests were present. 38 members were in attendance present for a quorum. Roll call taken and recorded.

The minutes of
the Executive Board meeting of April 4th ,2012 were read.
Vice Commander Jay Campbell reports membership at 1100…76 needed to go over
the top.
Vice Commander Matt Peregoy said that the new grounds landscapers are doing a great job. Matt also announced:

Matt is still working on getting our rental property occupied.

Mike Coyle reminded everyone that the deadline for giving your convention deposit is April 15th.

Erskine asked for volunteers to man the election Polls
Hank Voss reminded all boat slip holders to pay their fee if owed.
Greg Donohue
advised the body that a travelling veteran’s service officer will be at the seaside Heights Senior center on May 9th.
Matt Peregoy
asked all the members of the Post to pitch in, towards the maintenance of our Post infrastructure. Matt also recognized Legionnaire
Royce, who will soon be deploying overseas.

April 4th, 2012

1930 hours. No guests were present. Sufficient members were present for a quorum. Roll call taken and recorded.
Commander Erskine
made the following announcements:
The Ocean County Testimonial Dinner is to be held on May 12th at Post 129. Tickets are $35.00 each
Motion by Matt Peregoy to buy eight tickets and take a $75.00 Ad in the Ad-book…2nd Hank Voss..passed unanimous.
The Run for the Fallen
is on September 28th. Motion to donate $1,000.00 towards the endeavor by Kerri Long..2nd Hank Voss..passed unanimous.
The Ocean County
Convention of the American Legion will be held on Saturday May 5th beginning at 11am at Seaside Heights Post 351.
Boys State Orientation
is to be held at Post 129 on May 23rd at 7:30 pm.
Ocean County American Legion memorial services will be held on May 27th at Ocean
County Memorial Park at 1pm.
Finance Officer Ken Carlson gave an overview of our Post’s liability insurance policy.
Commander Erskine
is in the process of obtaining baseball caps for the Post. The projected cost is $7.00 each and 100 caps are projected for purchase.

A request was forwarded from Menlo Park Veterans Nursing Home for
headphones and sanitary caps for the residents to use when watching television. The cost is $400.00 Motion to donate by Ed McBride 2nd…Hank

Kerri Long made a motion to donate $500.00 to the Childhood Leukemia Foundation 2nd…Skip Amundson…passed unanimous.

to donate $500.00 to the Brick Township BMAC. The donated money is to be applied towards a golf foursome 2nd…Bob Handler…passed unanimous.

Landscaping has been approved and accepted as the landscape contractor for the Post
Skip Amundsen made a motion to donate $500.00 to
the Police Unity Tour to support one of our members (Raymond Royce) who is participating 2nd…Matt Peregoy…passed unanimous.
Kerri Long
announced that the Post cleanup will be held on April 15th beginning at 9am.
April 21st will be the date of another Yellow Ribbon Welcome
Home for the Troops event..see Kerri if interested in attending.
Paul Bode reports progress on Boy’s State and Legion Baseball. The
coloring contests are completed and the prizes have been awarded.
Ken Carlson reports that the Riparian rights for the Post have been
secured and the fee for the year has been paid.

Bids for electric and water hookups for the boat slips is in progress

has the Post 348 Facebook Page up and running.
Matt brought forth an idea to help fund the Auxiliary Juniors in an endeavor to produce
a calendar for the Post as a fundraiser. No action taken at this time.
