The American Legion Legacy Scholarship

Through The American Legion Legacy Scholarship, the Legion works to ensure children of U.S. servicemembers who died on or after Sept. 11, 2001, receive equal opportunities in their pursuit of higher learning. In 2007 and 2008, the Legacy Scholarship Fund awarded nearly $72,000 in scholarships to children of U.S. military personnel who died on active duty. Donations are welcome and greatly needed, as college costs rise and conflicts escalate overseas.

The American Legion Baseball Scholarship

Doug and Glenda set off on a wonderful adventure this Summer 2010 for the American Legion Legacy Run .  The ride starts in Indianapolis, heads west, then finishes in Milwaukee during The American Legion's 92nd National Convention.  Their mission was to deliver a donation from the the Post 348 Legion Riders for the American Legion Legacy Run.

The Legacy Run benefits a scholarship fund targeted at providing a college education to children of American Veterans KIA. It is estimated that over 11,000 children have lost a parent in the war overseas. That number continues to grow each day. The Legion is actively working to ensure that all those children who want a post-secondary education will be provided one.
